Marble Falls Mayfest FAQ

Here are all the answers to your questions!

Mayfest Q & A’s



  • Wednesday May 5th: Carnival open 5pm to Midnight
  • Thursday May 6th: Carnival open 5pm to Midnight
  • Friday May 7th: Carnival, Food Vendors Open 5pm to Midnight /Free Music DJ Freddie Latin X
  • Saturday May 8th: Carnival, Food Vendors, Market Vendors Open 12pm-Midnight/ Free Concerts 12pm-Midnight


How much does Mayfest Cost? Admission into Johnson Park where Mayfest is held is Free. However, wristbands to participate on the rides are: Walk Up Price Wednesday, Thursday $20 Walk Up price Friday $24, Walk Up Price Saturday afternoon $20, Walk up Price Saturday Evening $24. Food and drinks will be available for purchase as well. Beer and Wine $5 a token. Food Trucks prices vary. Cash and Credit Card accepted.


Where Do I park? There is free public parking along Avenue J, Main Street, and three parking lots located on 2nd and Avenue J & 2nd and Avenue L.  Handicap Parking: Avenue J & Yett Street.   Lakeside Park is free public parking.


What happened if it rains? Rain or Shine the show must go on! The carnival will close temporarily during the rain and lightning then will open back up as the rain ceases.


Can I bring a pet? Well behaved pets are welcome on leash, only in Johnson Park. Pets are not allowed in the Carnival area.  Owners are responsible for picking up after their pet.


Can I bring a stroller? Absolutely! Mayfest is a great event for the whole family. Feel free to bring your little ones in their strollers to enjoy all the Mayfest festivities.


What can I bring in? We encourage you to bring chairs and picnic blankets, as there is limited seating for the concerts! Umbrellas are also welcome.


What can I NOT bring in? NO coolers or alcohol will be allowed in Johnson Park. (But don’t worry! Vendors will be on site, and we will be selling beer/wine Friday and Saturday for $5)


Are there restrooms on site? Yes! There are restrooms located in the center of Johnson Park that are open to the public. Port-A-Potties will also be located behind the new public restroom.


What are the busiest nights? Friday and Saturday tend to be the busiest nights at Mayfest.


Can we get in early? To give the carnival staff and Mayfest vendors ample time to set up and get prepared to serve you, we recommend showing up around the time the carnival opens to the public.








Will there be food? Along with popular carnival foods like corn dogs, candy apples, funnel cakes, and more, we will have the following food vendors:

  • Tony’s Hill Country Smoked BBQ
  • Kona Ice Hill Country
  • Hungry J’s Pizza


Wil there be places to shop? We will have market vendors on site Saturday May 8th 12pm-7pm we also enoucrage our guest to visit our downtown for eating and shopping.


What about photos? There will be a photographer on site snapping all the fun moments as they happen at Mayfest (by attending Mayfest you recognize that you may be photographed, and the photos may be published in print o digital for marketing, commercial, or non-commercial purposes) We want to see your photos! When posting your Mayfest pics, be sure to use the Hashtag #MayfestMemories


Will there be music? Mayfest will be full of music! Friday night (May 7) DJ Freddie Tejano Night 5pm-Midnight Saturday (May 8) Marble Falls Highschool Choir 12pm-3:30pm, Rojas 4pm-5:30pm, Braedon Barnhill 6pm-7:30pm, The Selfless Lovers 8pm-11:30pm


Will Mayfest be ADA accessible? Yes, the park is ADA accessible. There will be a lot of grassy areas as well as sidewalks. There will be plenty of room for wheelchairs, etc.


I have a young child, will there be anything for them? The carnival will have games and rides that small children can participate in.


How tall do you have to be to ride rides? There will be several rides at Mayfest, all of them with different requirements.
