The Highland Lakes Quilt Guild meets at 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, August 18, 2021, in the Fellowship Hall at First Methodist Church, 1101 Bluebonnet Dr. in Marble Falls. Guests are welcome. A fellow guild member will share her inspiration and process for creating a Civil War style quilt for her son. You will be able to see this stunning quilt up close and hear all the stories that showcase Karen’s journey while making this quilt. The following day Thursday, August 19, at the same location,Susan McCann will teach a workshop sharing her technique for sewing fabric-wrapped rope baskets.
